Mark Holmgren has been active in the non-profit human services sector for over three decades, as a leader of human service organizations, as a consultant, as well as volunteer. As of January 8, 2018, Mark is the Executive Director of the Edmonton Community Development Company
He has authored numerous major papers on collaboration, game-changer thinking, a case for free transit in Edmonton, guides to managing social housing, a major study on inner city seniors, and more.
A writer, musician, and digital artist, Mark has published poems and fiction in dozens of literary reviews and performed on CBC radio. As a musician, singer-songwriter, a highlight was performing at the Edmonton Folk Music Festival. As a digital artist he had shows at IMPURE (Citadel Theatre) and other venues.
As a writer/artist, my mission is to incite thinking, encourage the outliers, serve as a catalyst for new visions, but also to offer more than just ideas. I try to address the how of change as well.
